1. Who we are

RightFitTrade is a prototype run by Origae, Melbourne VIC. This page is a plain-language description of what the site does with information today. It is not legal advice.

2. What is saved on your device

While you use the questions, the site saves your progress in your browser's local storage, under the name rightfittrade.session.v1. It holds:

• a version number and the time it was last updated
• your age group
• your state, if you chose to give it, otherwise nothing
• what you are doing now
• your answers
• which question you are up to

This stays on your device. We do not receive it. Anyone who uses the same browser profile on the same device may be able to see it, so clear it on a shared or school computer.

3. What we do not collect

The site does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, address or date of birth. There are no accounts, logins or payments. The site does not set cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising tools or tracking tools, and it does not send your answers to us or to anyone else.

4. What happens when you visit

Your browser loads the pages, fonts, logos, photos and video of the site from its own address. The site does not load fonts, scripts or images from other companies' servers. The home page, the trade pages and the page listing training providers and employers link to official government and training sources and to the websites of those providers and employers. If you follow one of those links, you leave this site and that site's own privacy practices apply. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. Vercel decides how long it keeps this information, and it may keep some of it for longer for security and legal reasons. Vercel's own privacy notice is at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-notice. We do not use these logs to track you.

5. If you email us

If you email us, we will have your email address and what you write. We use it to reply to you and to deal with your message, and we do not use it for marketing.

6. How we use and share information

Your answers are used on your device to show you a suggested match and to let you carry on where you stopped. We do not sell, rent or share your answers, because we do not have them. We do not use your information for advertising.

7. Security

The site is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Because your answers sit in your browser's local storage on your device, they are only as private as that device and browser. They are not encrypted by the site.

8. Keeping and removing your answers

Your answers stay on your device until you clear them. To remove them, use Clear saved answers on the home page, or Start over on your result, or clear this site's data in your browser. There is no account to close. Because we hold none of your answers, there is nothing for us to delete.

9. Your choices and rights

Your answers are on your device, so you can see, change and delete them yourself using the steps above. If you think we hold personal information about you, for example because you emailed us, you can ask to see it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Please use the contact line below.

10. Age

RightFitTrade is intended for people aged 16 and over; it is not intended for anyone under 16. It does not ask for your name, email or phone number. Your age group, optional state, situation and answers stay on your device. If you are 16 or 17, you may want to go through the questions with a parent, guardian or school careers adviser. A parent or guardian can look at or clear the saved answers on the device. Age is whatever you tell us; we do not check it.

11. Overseas

The site is hosted by Vercel. Static pages are served from Vercel's global network, so they can come from servers outside Australia. Any server functions run in the region the project is set to, which is currently Washington, D.C., USA. Vercel's servers and logs may be outside Australia. Your answers do not leave your device, so the site does not send them overseas.

12. Changes to this page

We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If the site ever starts to collect personal information, accept payments or add accounts, this page will be updated before that happens.
